Step Up Training for National Ladder Safety Month

This March, help prevent ladder-associated injuries by educating your workers, free of charge.

March 1, 2023

According to the American Ladder Institute (ALI), a not-for-profit association dedicated to promoting safe ladder use, approximately 22,000 workplace injuries and hundreds of fatalities each year are related to the mishandling of ladders. National Ladder Safety Month, spearheaded by ALI and held every March, is an opportunity to raise awareness surrounding the subject and encourage ladder safety education.

This month, ALI is offering free online training regarding the proper selection, care, and safe use of all ladder types. The training outlines safe ladder practices for all ladder applications, including construction, painting, warehousing, manufacturing, and building and custodial services. Participants who successfully finish the course will receive a Ladder Safety Certificate. More than 73,000 individuals received certificates from taking the course in 2022.

To register for the free online training, visit www.laddersafetytraining.org.

The institute also offers opportunities for companies to financially sponsor National Ladder Safety Month. Sponsorship levels start as low as US$250 and top off at $20,000. To learn more about becoming a sponsor, contact ALI.
