America’s Best Restroom Is…

November 20, 2020

Cintas Corp. has named the restroom at Bancroft Park in Colorado Springs, Colorado the winner of the 2020 America’s Best Restroom® contest.

Established by Cintas in 2002, the award program honors businesses that place hygiene and style at the top of their priority list and recognize the parallel between clean restrooms and customer retention.

The park’s three self-cleaning restrooms feature touchless fixtures and green, red, and yellow lights to indicate availability. The facilities are connected to an app that alerts the park maintenance supervisor when toilet paper, soap, or other supplies are running low. As the winning entry, the park will receive a Cintas UltraClean® restroom cleaning along with US$2,500 worth of facility services.

“With the COVID-19 pandemic, occupant expectations are higher than they’ve ever been,” said Sean Mulcahey, Cintas marketing manager. “We’re proud to honor the City of Colorado Springs with this award as they’ve implemented technology to make cleaning a priority at their unique restrooms.”
